Not Your Typical Puppy Class!
Designed for puppy owners who know they want to pursue dog sports. We’ll assist you in developing foundational skills in preparation of starting sport classes.
Topics include:
- Establishing a communication system for training (marker training)
- Introduction to offered behaviour and puzzle solving skills for the puppy
- Introduction to different types of foot targets
- Tricks like cone wraps and pivoting on the spot
- Foundation scentwork skills
- The start of a great relationship! A powerful tool for future distraction work
- Build confidence through activities on a variety of surfaces
- And much more!
Dog’s Age: 16 weeks – 6 months
Prerequisite: None!

NOTE: This class does not cover manners and basic obedience. This is strictly a sport skills foundation class.
Performance Fundamentals
New dog? New to training? Not sure where to start? This is the class for you! This class is designed to give you and your dog the foundation skills for a variety of dog sports.
Topics Include:
- Establishing a communication system for training (marker training)
- Introduction to offered behaviour and puzzle solving skills for the puppy
- Introduction to different types of foot targets
- Tricks like cone wraps and pivoting on the spot
- Foundation scentwork skills
- Building your relationship and demonstrating how it can be used as tool for distraction work
- Work through various movement patterns such as lateral movement and backing up
- And much more!
